One of the big new tasks we had to complete for this semester was the mobile gaming device project. In this project, we had to create a prototype for a mobile gaming device by creating a concept ideal that shows the design process of how we started with just an idea and developed it into a final design. This device also had to incorporate the sustainability development goal of eradicating world hunger (goal 2). We could do this in a number of ways ranging from the console design itself to creating a base game launching with the console and spreading awareness or ideas about how we can solve this issue. In the end we decided to make a game about cooking and how we can reduce any food waste by incorporating it into everyday cooking dishes. My primary focus for this project was to create both a 2D and 3D design of the console itself as well as providing ergonomic research as to how this device may work whilst being functional.
